About Simone Viola
Simone Viola studied industrial design in Milan before spending his early career working alongside architecture and design studios across Italy and Europe.
In 2011, he opened his own studio in Mendrisio, Switzerland — dedicated to industrial design and interiors, with a particular focus on the décor sector.
His work begins with two convictions: that a clean line is always earned, and that how something is made is inseparable from what it looks like. Function and form are not balanced against each other — they are resolved together. Every piece Viola produce is personally overseen from the first drawing through to finished production. Not as a quality measure, but as a design position. The outcome is objects with a clear point of view. Minimalist without austerity. Ergonomic without concession.
